The life story of J.K. Rowling’s

In this text, I will give you details from the life story of J.K. Rowling’s.

In 1990, as she waited on a delayed train bound for London, an unknown author named Joanne Rowland began musing on the idea of an adolescent boy who attends a school for wizards. Thus marked the conception of Harry Potter, but it would take far more than a magic spell and the wave of a wand to bring him to life.

At the time Harry first popped into her head, Rowling was caught in that no man’s land between college graduation and the pursuit of a life’s passion. She had worked a series of temp jobs since earning her French degree at the University of Exeter and was looking at a move to Manchester to live with her boyfriend.

Everything abruptly changed at the end of the year when her mother, Anne, succumbed to a decade-plus battle with multiple sclerosis at age 45. Devastated, Rowling sought refuge in the thrill of a new, adventurous life, and moved to Portugal to teach English.

Settling in the coastal city of Porto, Rowling scrawled out the beginnings of Harry Potter before her evening classes and hit the clubs with her roommates afterward. She eventually met and fell in love with aspiring journalist Jorge Arantes.

Rowling soon discovered she was pregnant, moved in with Arantes’ mother and had a miscarriage. Ignoring her friends’ concerns about the state of her relationship, she married Arantes in October 1992, became pregnant again and this time gave birth to a baby girl, Jessica, the following July.

Meanwhile, Arantes had grown increasingly abusive. The final straw came with an ugly fight in November 1993, when Arantes harshly slapped his wife and threw her out of the home without Jessica. Rowling soon returned – with a police presence – to take her daughter, and within weeks they were on a plane back to the U.K., along with the first three chapters of Harry Potter.

Upon returning to the U.K., Rowling was ‘poor’ and contemplated suicide

After spending the holidays at the Edinburgh, Scotland, home of her sister and brother-in-law, Rowling applied for benefits that helped her secure a small apartment and weekly stipend. She grudgingly accepted a friend’s loan for a deposit on a more welcoming apartment and began spending her days at her brother-in-law’s café with Jessica by her side as she continued the long march through her manuscript.

Barely getting by with the help of friends and family – “as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless,” she later described it – Rowling found herself increasingly despondent, angry over her failures and guilty about an inability to provide for her daughter. As a reminder of her missteps, Arantes showed up in an attempt to reconcile, though he retreated after Rowling obtained a restraining order.

Harboring thoughts of suicide, Rowling realized she needed to get her act together, for the sake of her daughter, if no one else. Her outlook improved after therapy, and she set her sights on a one-year teaching training course, though there was still the matter of unfinished business with the boy wizard who flitted through her imagination.

Publishers rejected the first ‘Harry Potter’ book

Upon completing her manuscript in 1995, Rowling followed through with the plan for teachers’ certification while hunting down literary representation. A three-chapter sample of Harry Potter was enough to reel in a London agent Christopher Little, though the regional publishing houses seemed largely immune to the magic of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Co.

Following a dozen rejections, Little finally found a taker in London publishing house Bloomsbury, which offered a £1,500 advance. Rowling also snagged an £8,000 grant from the Scottish Arts Council, enabling her to finish a Harry Potter sequel on a brand-new typewriter.

On June 26, 1997, the author saw her hard work come to fruition with the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the U.K. She was now known as “J.K. Rowling,” due to concerns about how boys would respond to a female writer, but the name change was fitting in that her life of anonymity was about to end.

Rowling became a billionaire in less than 10 years after the first book was published

Within days of Harry’s debut, children’s publishing powerhouse Scholastic had bid more than $100,000 for the American publishing rights (They renamed the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The highly successful sequel, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets followed a year later, and by the fall of 1998, Warner Bros. was on board with a feature-film deal.

The rest reads like a fairy tale: Rowland was a billionaire by 2004 when Hollywood was still only halfway through eight Harry Potter films and well before the launch of another cash-cow franchise, Fantastic Beasts. She also found love again, with Scottish doctor Neil Murray, and continued churning out best-sellers on the strength of her name brand and addictive prose.

And while her life looks charmed from the outside, the author no doubt carries the reminder of her years as a struggling, single mom wherever she goes, like the scar on the forehead of the character that made her so famous.

A success story of Bob Beamon

No name is as synonymous with the Olympic long jump as that of Bob Beamon. Nearly a half-century after his gold medal performance at the 1968 Mexico City Games, reporters still attach the label “Beamonesque” to one of the greatest exploits in all sports.

Childhood

However, the a success story of Bob Beamon did not start at the Olympics. Born in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, Beamon was surrounded by a world of drugs and violence, Beamon became engulfed by the culture of the time. By the age of fourteen he was rarely at school and involved in gang life, eventually becoming a gang leader. With the help of positive goals developed through sports, Beamon turned his life around. Athletics was the catalyst that fueled this transition. Bob was a New York state record holder and Junior Olympian. He won the 1965 National High School Triple Jump and High Jump awards. In 1967, he won the Indoor AAU Long Jump Championship as well as the Silver Medal at the Pan American Games Outdoor Long Jump Championships. Beamon made the shift from hanging out on the corner to attending college. After beginning his NCAA career at North Carolina, A&T, he transferred to the emerging track powerhouse program at the University of Texas El-Paso. While competing at UTEP, Beamon proved to be a man of unparalleled principle. As a college student at the time of the civil rights movement, Beamon and fellow African-Americans boycotted a track meet held by a university with insensitive racial practices. His decision had major repercussions, costing him his scholarship and coach mere months before the Olympic Trials.

Olympic Games in Mexico City, 1968.

The year of the 1968 Olympics, Bob had 22 wins in 23 events, which landed him a spot in the Olympics. Nothing less than gold was expected of Beamon in Mexico City and his jump was nothing short of miraculous. Just 22 years old, he landed a jump of 29 ft (8,95 meters). 2 inches, destroying the existing world record by 1.8 feet.

The fantastic jump from Mexico remained one of the most impressive moments in the sport of the 20th century. Not only did Beamon surprise himself and the competition with such a feat, but the judges also had to look for an additional meter to measure the jump, since it was simply not possible to measure such a length on the prepared optical system for measuring the length of jumps. After the length of the jump was announced at the stadium after a long repeated measurement, Beamon himself fell to his knees in disbelief.

To illustrate why that result was so strange, it is important to note that until that moment, the official world record in the long jump had been broken 13 times since 1901, when the results were kept. The average growth of the record was 0.06 meters, and the highest growth recorded so far was 0.15 meters. Bimon improved the record by 0.55 meters in one jump! The record remained unbroken for 23 years, until the jump of Mike Powell, who in 1991 jumped to 8.95 m (1991., World Championships in Athletics in Tokyo). Beamon’s record is still the second jump of all time and a valid Olympic record.

One of the factors was certainly the high altitude at which the competition took place, because on that occasion, many world records were broken in sprint disciplines and jumps affected by thin air. However, that does not fully explain Beamon’s jump, especially if we keep in mind that until then his personal record was 8.33 meters, and that after a miraculous jump in the next competitions, he jumped the furthest to only 8.22 meters.

His Olympic record still stands today, nearly a half-century later. He is also in the National Track & Field Hall of Fame, U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame, New York Track & Field Hall of Fame as well as ESPN’s top 100 athletes among many other sports accolades.

His story also did not end at the Olympics. Following his uncharted success, he went back to school to complete his degree, graduating from Adelphi University in 1972 with a degree in Sociology. Now, Beamon takes lessons from his own life to positively affect American youth. As the Associate Commissioner of Parks in Miami-Dade County, Bob Beamon along with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger organized the South Florida Inner-City Games for at-risk kids. He was Chairman of the Bob Beamon United Way Golf Classic, which benefited youth-related programs for the United Way. In addition, he has gone on to pursue new dreams. He operates his own corporation, Bob Beamon Communications Inc., in Central Florida as well as Las Vegas NV where he now lives with his wife Rhonda A. Beamon. He collaborates with several organizations to facilitate scholarship fairs in the Central Florida area. More than 35 colleges and Universities award over $10 million in scholarships to qualified high school seniors. He is also an exhibited artist, designing and marketing a successful line of neckties and scarves. He has a line of apparel that can be purchased online at the IOC website. Bob spends much of his time as an inspirational speaker and corporate spokesperson. He has developed his own motivational program, The Champion in You, in which he describes how, Champions are made by the things you accomplish and by the way you use your abilities in everyday life situations. Beamon is also on the Jessie Owens Foundation Board of Directors and is an Ambassador for Special Olympics. Bob remains very active in the Olympic movement.

Motivation and psychic strength

In this text, we will talk about motivation and mental strength.

When people want to do something, before they take the first step, they ask themselves the following questions: will I be able to do this? Will I be mentally strong enough to endure all that awaits me?

From my experience and the experience of other people who were in the same or similar situation, with great enthusiasm, I will tell you that the answer is YES!

Many people achieved what they wanted, without even knowing how they would achieve it and whether they would succeed !? What they were doing was going further despite all the problems that arose during that process, refusing to surrender! Along the way, they changed and became mentally stronger people – totally different from those who were at the beginning of what they set out to do.

Mental stability and mental strength are certainly qualities that every person wants to possess. I will show you how we can achieve to be strong and stable, that is, what are the characteristics, characteristics of people, to have mental stability and strength, and what will you gain when achieving your goals!

One of the characteristics of stable people is that they do not waste time on self-pity.

Therefore, don’t waste time on self-pity either, because you don’t get anything at all. So, if some bad things happen to you, just overcome them. You really can’t benefit from that, and when you focus on some negative things, negative thoughts, then negative things happen in your life. So think positively and don’t feel sorry for yourself in any way.

If you want to be just strong, mentally stable, you are not afraid of change, you are not afraid of challenges in life.

Changes are, moreover, very welcome, because if the same thing happens to us all the time, if our life is somehow settled, if nothing new or even unforeseen happens, then there is simply no special value for living. Do not be afraid of change because with change you can only get good things, you can get quality of life, quality of life, and nothing of the opposite.

Then the third thing – just don’t focus on things you can’t control in your life.

So, something that does not depend on you is simply not worth your attention, it is not worth getting nervous about it, because these are simply things that will come, pass you by and there is nothing you can do about it. If you think about things that you cannot change, then you are promoting those things that you can and should change in your life, that is, your life as such.

Mentally stable people do not try to please everyone.

Therefore, do not try to please everyone, because that is impossible. Primarily impossible on the one hand, and on the other hand it is completely unnecessary. Trying to please everyone, you only spend yourself on things that are not important in life at all, because honestly it is not important for you to do something “for the sake of others”, who do not respect you yet, but work for yourself. Therefore, satisfying other people, some people yes, but by no means everyone!

Mentally stable people are not afraid to take calculated risks.

So, in life not everything can be stable, not everything can be clear, not everything can be so that there is absolutely no risk. Yes, there are risks, but when we take risks, they are not the headless risks, to just play the lottery, so if something happens – it happens. Calculated risk may exist. The calculated risk is quite fine, because the risk can come from the benefit. If there is no risk, you live an empty life in which nothing really happens.

The next characteristic of mentally strong people is that they do not burden themselves with the past.

Just let the past go. What happened, happened, you can’t correct, you can’t correct what happened. So do not live in the past, live in the present, live in the present, and live for the future in the sense of planning for the future and striving for some goal that you have conceived.

As we mature, we will realize the universal truth about the past, and that is that we cannot change it, but we can FEEL when we remember it!

Then, mentally stable people just don’t make the same mistakes over and over again.

In other words – learn from your own mistakes. Don’t let yourself do something wrong once and now you will do it every time because it’s just so much easier. Whether something is easier or not is easier does not mean that you should not change your attitudes or change the way you work, live, think and so on.

When it comes to mistakes, the first time is a mistake, and if it happens a second time, then it is a choice!

The next trait is very interesting, in the sense that actually mentally strong people should not despise other people’s successes.

So if other people have succeeded, you shouldn’t try to pull them by the legs and lower them because their success bothers you and you just feel bad because someone else has succeeded and you may not have succeeded or you have succeeded less. them Quite the opposite, try to find a way with those people who have succeeded, to communicate with them so that you succeed, so that they teach you something, so that you try to do the same. On the contrary, many people usually do not like other people’s successes, despise other people’s successes and thus want to diminish the same other people’s successes.

The next characteristic is that mentally strong people should not and must not give up after the first failure.

So, anything to do in life, at work, privately, socially, however, if you fail – what should you do? So just get up and go on and on. And you fail again – and you fall again – and you rise again. So, only the weak remain to lie down. Those who are strong, who are mentally stable, they just get up and go again and again and again, no matter how many times it takes to do something to get results.

Mental stability implies another interesting thing, and that is not to be afraid of loneliness.

Don’t be afraid to be alone with yourself, don’t be afraid to think woefully what I’m going to do now, I’m bored, I have nothing, I’m bored with myself, I have nothing to do, etc. You always have something to do, read a good book, learn something, learn something, watch a good video. We can simply do a lot with ourselves. And not only do we have some external stimuli, we read a book or watched a video, but loneliness is the right moment for self-perspective, for thinking about oneself, for imagining. Imagination is the real thing that leads you to the goal. You need to create your own goals, primarily you do it with yourself, you fantasize about those goals of yours, you find ways to reach them, and for all that you need solitude. Don’t be afraid to be alone.

If you want to be mentally strong, don’t even think that the world owes you anything, that society owes you anything, that as a rule you should get something.

As a rule, you don’t have to get anything. To get anything you have to work for it, you have to work on it. People who expect to get something just because they were born as something, it’s completely pointless. There does not come mental strength, quite the opposite. These are the people who learned as small children to be spoiled and to cry a little – here is a parent, he immediately comes and gives them everything. It can’t be that way, the world doesn’t work that way.

The next item is to not expect immediate results.

No current results. There is if you play the lottery, so they just sting you – then you can get an instant result, otherwise they don’t exist in life. And if you expect immediate results and of course they don’t happen, because they don’t happen, then what will happen? Then you will cry, then you will blame the whole world for not getting something. No current results. Results are chasing, for results you have to work hard, sometimes you have to sweat well to get something.

But to get that something, the first thing you need to do is create your own, your own definition of success.

For each of us, success is a different concept, a different thing. For some it is a success to have a lot of money, for some it is a success to be with some people you love or whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. You need to create your own definition of success and then strive for that success with your daily work, so just work on achieving that success.

To achieve that success, it is necessary to believe in yourself.

To believe that you can do it! That you just never doubt if you can do something or not? Of course, you can. Just look at people who are handicapped in all possible, physical and other ways, so they do so much in life, and you think you can’t. Real, healthy, smart and you say, “I can’t do that.” How can you not? If you tell yourself that then you are not a mentally strong person. Say to yourself: “I can do it!”, Really think so and start the phase of taking concrete steps!

Finally, mentally strong people simply take responsibility for their own lives.

So you are responsible for what happens in your life, no one else is responsible for it. There is no other who will do something for you, there is no mom and dad who will always be responsible for what you do and for what happens to you in life and for whether or not you will succeed in doing something. You have to take responsibility for your own life and for your own actions.

All these characteristics are characteristics of a strong personality and they will help you in moments when your motivation drops and you doubt yourself and your potentials. It will help you move on!

The goal of every person in this world should be the following: to develop into a mentally strong person who will know how to position himself in the right way in every situation and to make himself and others satisfied and fulfilled with his actions!

Never defeat. Just a lesson!

We are motivated, but we did not take the first step!

“You don’t have to be legendary to go. But you have to go to become legendary. ” – Srdjan Bogicevic, blogger

So, we talked about change and what you can do to start the path of change. However, the question of who imposes it is: why can’t most of us just take that first step towards a better life? What is it that is holding us back? Is that fear? Doubt? Criticisms that will eventually be directed at us? Or something else? Maybe you are afraid to move forward because you have already had a bad experience? There are many reasons why we are motivated, but we did not take the first step!

We are taught to believe that we cannot do something

One of the biggest reasons why people are unwilling or unwilling to take the first step toward their goals is that they are programmed to believe they can’t do something. Yes, you read that right. You are programmed to believe that you cannot make your dreams come true when you were a small child. You are told that you cannot have everything you want; that money is evil; that rich people are thieves; that there is nothing of love; not to try to do anything because you will fail anyway; that you do not have a genetic predisposition to succeed; to be miserable; that you should play by other people’s rules and do what you are told and so on. How many of you have bought these lies? Believe me when I tell you that most of you are not even aware that you have these beliefs.

Who sold you these stories? Whose thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors have you picked up? When did you lose faith in yourself? When did you start to feel helpless? For most people, all of this happened when they were children. You are programmed from an early age to think a certain way, talk a certain way, and behave a certain way. Most of you don’t know this, nor are you aware of what I’m talking about. You don’t even know you’re programmed to be in fear. To doubt yourself. Don’t trust your intuition. That the world is a bad place. That life is not fair. I can list until tomorrow what you are all programmed to believe. These are all lies!

And do you know what is very sad about all this? That you have never even tried to re-examine all these lies. All the beliefs I have listed above sabotage you and hinder you from living the life you want. The one you deserve.

There is a part of you that knows that you can go anywhere, that you can be what you want to be, that you can achieve everything you imagine. But your subconscious programs are holding you back. What if instead of these lies being told to you, you actually start living your truth? “What truth”? You may be wondering. Here I will tell you. Yes what you have is enough! Yes where you are now is enough! To be beautiful and attractive! That you are powerful! That you have more than enough courage! To have everything you need to succeed! Can you believe this?

Here is another truth: money is not evil, it is only a tool with which you can do good deeds; the economy is not as bad as they tell you; people are great; The earth is a beautiful place to live; life is not meant to be just survival; there is enough food, water, love, sensitivity, attention, joy, money, happiness. Life is designed to be abundant in every form. Life is given to you to enjoy every second of it. You came to this planet to be legendary. To do amazing things. To be the best version of yourself.

And let me tell you something else: you are a powerful human being created by the Creator! You are stronger than you can imagine. Can you believe what I’m saying? Do you have the courage to accept that you are more than what you have been told you are? Do you have the courage to accept that everything you need is within you? Do you have the courage to believe that you are more than what your current reality tells you are? Your current reality is just that – your current reality. Nothing remains the same in this Universe. Everything is temporary. And your reality will change. Can you accept that you are just a thought away from changing your life? Just one thought! That’s how close you are to changing your life.

The key to change and start living the life you want is to move on now and take the first step! That’s all you need for now. Just get started. Today. Now. How can you overcome false beliefs, doubts and fears? By taking the first step towards your destiny. But most people will not do anything. Why? Because most don’t even know what they want out of life. They have never stopped and thought about what they want, because they believe that they have no “right” to think about it. They are programmed in this way of thinking. But if you don’t know what you want out of life, how will you know where you’re going?

So let’s go through some of the most useful excuses that many people use to not take that famous first step.

I’m waiting for the “right time”

I think you know this. Most people wait for the “right time” to start. You know what? It will never happen! This excuse people use every day. They then add that they will take the first step when they have enough money or when they get a raise, or find a better job. Maybe when a relative lends them money. Or next year when the “conditions are met”. It’s sad to say, but this is not go to happen.

It will never be the right time. If you wait for this, then you will never take that first step, and therefore, you will not do anything from your life. I started writing for my blog when I didn’t even know how it was go to turn out. I didn’t wait to learn to speak English perfectly, I just started writing and along the way I tried to figure out what I needed to learn to become a better writer. The best thing you can do for yourself is not to think at all, but just go where you are and with what you have. That’s all you need, and along the way you’ll design and learn what else you need.

I’ll start when I develop more skills

Again, you don’t have to wait to develop more skills to move forward. Believe me when I tell you that I didn’t even know that I had a talent for writing and that I had a hidden writer in me. I started writing because I learned from my mentor, who I came across through another blogger, that it would be a good idea to start writing a blog, because it is a good way to create conditions for marketing.

I didn’t wait to develop my writing skills. If you believe me, I never even asked anyone how writing skills develop. I develop them myself in my own way. Every day. Through the process of writing and moving forward towards my goals, my skills and knowledge are being improved more and more every day. So I advise you not to wait to develop more skills. Move forward.

It is true that for certain jobs it is necessary to acquire certain skills as a prerequisite for working in a certain type of activity. But, if your current knowledge is enough to start something you want, you should not hesitate but start with the necessary activities, which will enable us to acquire new knowledge and other skills!

I’m leaving tomorrow

Are you really go to leave tomorrow? If you have this thought that you should leave tomorrow, know that it is not yours. It comes from your subconscious. It is a false belief that prevents you from taking the first step. That belief serves you nothing at all. Why? Because tomorrow never comes! At least not for most people.

I’m go to practice tomorrow. Today I will eat french fries and chocolate, but tomorrow I will start with a new way of eating. Today I will skip meditation, but tomorrow I will practice it one hundred percent. I need to make a call today, but I’m not in the mood, so I’ll do it tomorrow. You will do everything or start tomorrow. The truth is you won’t. You won’t leave tomorrow, and you probably never will if you keep saying you’ll do it all or start tomorrow.

The point is to replace our tomorrow with today!

Fear

This is probably the biggest killer of all dreams. You are scared. You don’t know what to expect. Will you succeed? Or will you fail? Having fear is normal, especially when you go into the unknown. You are trying to do something you have never done before. You don’t know what to expect. Get out of your comfort zone.

The good news is that you can overcome any fear by taking some action towards your dreams, by being brave and, despite the fear, trying.

What does fear consist of? Fear consists of not knowing one’s own being.

Fear is “only” a thought that occurs in our heads and is most often associated with our emotions! There are two types of innate fears: fear of falling and fear of noise! All other fears are learned or acquired during life and we can get rid of them! It is a distorted and unhealthy understanding of life!

Based on this, fears can be divided into rational and irrational!

Rational fear is what can happen: if we do not get out of the building affected by the fire, we will perish! If we do not evacuate from the area affected by the floods, we can also suffer!

Irrational fears are those that are projected in our head and can be divided into three groups: loss, pain and fear of outcome – what will happen?

This means that we will experience many terrible things in our lives, none of which actually happened! Fears are fictional scenarios and projections that create your thoughts!

That this is true is confirmed by the following Zen story:

The man who was walking on a rocky road in the middle of the night slipped and fell. Fearing that he would crash a thousand meters, since he knew that there was a very deep valley under the path, he grabbed a branch near the edge. In the darkness of the night below, he could only see an endless abyss. He shouted and an exclamation echoed – there was no one to hear him. You can imagine that man and his torture all night. Every moment there was death under him, his hands were getting colder, his grip was loosening, but he managed to endure until dawn. Then he looked down … and laughed! There was no abyss. Only fifteen inches below his feet was a stone cliff. He could rest all night, sleep — the cliff was wide enough — but the whole night passed like a nightmare.

From my own experience, I can tell you: fear is not deeper than fifteen centimeters. It is up to you to decide whether to hold on to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you will leave the branch and stand on your feet. You have nothing to fear. – Osho, Indian thinker

The best kept secret of the world is to find something safe and beneficial for you on the other side of fear. If you work on even a little fear, you will increase your self-confidence and ability to create your own life.

Is it easy to face fear? No, but it’s harder to live with him!

In all these years of educating myself on the topic of fear, I have read many books, articles and other interesting studies and watched countless videos on this topic. What all psychologists, life coach trainers, psychologists and psychiatrists have in common is the following:

“To overcome fear, you must face it!”

There is no other way! If someone wants to overcome fear, this is the basis, without which all other techniques do not give results !!!

What is the goal of overcoming fear? Let’s learn to communicate with our emotions! Let’s find ourselves! Once you find yourself, you can’t lose anything!

“Joy is the antidote to all fear. Fear comes if you don’t enjoy life. If you enjoy life, fear disappears. So just be positive and enjoy more, laugh more, play more, sing. Stay happier and happier, upbeat because of the little things, and the smallest little things. Life is made up of little things, but if you can bring the quality of joy into the little things, the sum is huge. ” – Osho

Doubt

If fear is the biggest dream killer, then doubt is right behind fear. I have doubts too. Sometimes I doubt myself. Do I have enough knowledge and skills to make my dreams come true? How to move forward when the path is not clear? What I have learned so far is that doubt can only be removed if we take some action towards our dreams every day. That’s it. Just do something every day, no matter how small or big.

Critics

What will others think of me if I fail? Will they look at me with the same eyes? We all have a fear of criticism at some point in our lives. We all wonder what others will say or think about us?

Is their opinion really that important to you? You are not even aware of how many people have never taken the first step because they were afraid of what others would think or say. Everyone “knows” why something won’t work, and now that you want to try “that something”, you become scared, because if you fail, you will think to yourself that others were right. But take my word for it that one day when you are on your deathbed, the last thing on your mind will be what someone thinks or has thought about you. If you let criticism hold you back, one day you will regret not being brave enough to try.

Criticism always comes from people who do nothing with their lives. These are the ones who always “know” all the possible reasons why something won’t work and they will be more than happy to tell you why you can’t make your dreams come true. I call these people “dream killers.”

Stop thinking about them. You can’t expect them to see something for you when they can’t see anything for themselves. Real dreamers, visionaries and people who want something more than life will support you and help you on your life journey. Your job is to find these people and surround yourself with them.

“Wisdom comes through suffering and wisdom comes through acceptance. Whatever the case, be relaxed. Ignore society and its condemnations. No one has the right to judge you and no one can pretend to be a judge. Do not judge others and don’t let the judgment of others bother you. You are alone and unique. Accept that and whatever happens, let it happen and go through it. Soon suffering will become a science, then it has become creative. ” – Osho

Previous experience

I tried it once and I didn’t succeed. That’s why I know it won’t work now because I’ve tried so many things in my life and why would I try again just to experience another failure? If you know this, trust me I fully understand you. I know what you’re talking about. I was there. I tried a few things that didn’t go the way I wanted.

You know, I wanted to give up writing. I didn’t see the point at one point. But then I realized that there are people who read my blog! But I also realized that I love to write a lot. So I decided that previous defeats would not stop me from doing what I love to do.

I know you’ve tried many times. You have experienced defeats. You were broken. Who knows how many times you’ve heard from someone “did I tell you”? Your experience doesn’t lie, does it? Not true! You are not the person you were then. You are different now. What’s more, your experience can only help you start over and take the first step. Don’t let the demons of the past hunt you down in the present and destroy your future.

Take advantage of the experience you have gained. Study what didn’t work before to do something different now. Now you know you can do things differently and better.

Therefore, do not allow your past to dictate your present and create your future.

Now that we’ve gone through the excuses that people have for not taking the first step toward their dreams, let’s see what you can do to move forward anyway, how to get started today and still take that first step.

Share your dream with others

I know this isn’t something you’ve heard so far, especially if you have an opinion that someone is go to steal your idea. I myself had this kind of thinking. Life is based on cooperation. In my experience and in the people I know, and they are quite successful, they all shared their vision with as many people as possible.

Why? Because you never know how someone can help you. Maybe one of your acquaintances will hear your story and then suddenly I can give you a contact person who might be interested in investing in your dream.

But, as I stated in the previous part, this does not include negative people and those who criticize – dream killers, but positive people who support you and help you succeed in what you want!

Expect challenges

Expect challenges and welcome them with open arms because they are a great opportunity to build your character and develop as a person. Don’t try to get around them and don’t be discouraged when obstacles slow you down. Just keep going no matter what.

Sometimes life will hit you so hard that you’ll want to give up, but don’t let that occur to you! Life will throw stones at you. People around you will sabotage you. None of this is yours. Welcome it all with open arms and be thankful that you will get through it all. What I know for sure is that as soon as you take the first step, almost the same day, or the next, you will encounter an obstacle. Don’t worry, it’s normal. Just keep going towards your dreams.

That first step… you are not even aware of how important and significant it is for you. When you take the first step, it is a sign that you believe you can succeed. Even when others don’t believe in you, you have to believe in yourself. If your dream is worth your energy, effort, work, sweat, blood, pain, sleepless nights, tears, and only you know it in your heart, then you will surely believe that you can go for it and I am sure that if you never stop, you will make your dream come true!

Never defeat! Just a lesson!

Smart or hard work?

Which is the better choice: smart or hard work? For most people today, the prevailing opinion is that success can only be achieved through hard work that sometimes lasts 12 hours (half a day), and sometimes more than that! You work hard and wait for your day. You wait for promotion, you wait for a raise, you wait for someone to notice your work, but you are often left empty-handed.

These people have wrong beliefs, because hard work brings even more hard work, unfulfilled expectations and inevitably – frustration. Smart work brings pleasure in what we do, a healthy balance between work and private life, and a sense of achievement and success in our careers.

What does “working smart” mean?

Successful people are constantly making smart choices and making the right decisions. They choose their battles which is why they progress very quickly. They are the ones who have great cars, good salaries and everything they want. You see them more at meetings, travels, celebrations … You think “it’s easy for them” and you condemn them because you are convinced that only hard work is good and right.

Wrong! When you learn to value yourself and do what is in line with your values, talents and knowledge, you will stop feeling like a victim who is working hard to do what he does not want. You will start rejecting jobs that waste your energy and time unnecessarily and choosing the ones in which you feel you are making the greatest contribution to your talents and in which you feel good.

Working smart means discovering your strengths and optimizing your time to achieve your goals in the fastest and most efficient way.

Hard work is one of the forms of control over other people and it is popularized by those people who do not want to have competition, for others to achieve success and their goal is to spend hard-earned money of other people who worked hours and hours for some amount it also covers the basic costs of living. They will constantly point out that only hard work can achieve anything! This is not true!!!

Every job that is done can be organized so that it is done with quality, if it is well planned!

He who works smart, 90 to 95% of his time, plans how to do something, and 10 to 5% is set aside for the implementation of the plan, IE for work!

When the work is smartly organized, then, in certain periods, it is desirable to work hard on a certain part! It is a short-term effort, not a continuous burnout at work that does not bring anything good to that person and those closest to him!

In this case, HARD WORK is a TOOL, but not a RULE !!!

Now you wonder, when is hard work used as a tool, when does it help?

This is achieved when you do the right things, in the right order in the right direction! Then hard work is a supplement to smart work!

The myth of Sisyphus

If this topic was current in the past, the best indicator of that is the “Myth of Sisyphus”, which best shows the nonsense of hard work that is not a supplement to smart!

What is it about?

Sisyphus, the son of the lord of all winds Aeolus, was the founder of the city of Corinth, which in ancient times was called Epirus.

No one in all of Greece could match Sisyphus in insidiousness, cunning, and flexibility of mind. Thanks to his cunning, Sisyphus amassed innumerable riches in Corinth. The fame of his treasure was widely heard.

When the god of death, Thanat, comes to take him to the sad kingdom of Hades, Sisyphus, who previously felt the approach of the god of death, cunningly deceives the god Thanat and shackles him! People on earth stopped dying then, lavish funerals were no longer performed, sacrifices to the gods of the underworld ceased to be offered. On Earth, this disturbed the order that Zeus had established. But then the thunderbolt sent Sisyphus, the mighty god of war, Areus.

He freed Thanat from the shackles, and Thanat then uprooted Sisyphus’ soul, and took her to the realm of shadows of the dead. But even here the cunning Sisyphus manages. He told his wife not to bury him and not to offer sacrifices to the underground gods. Hades and Persephone waited a long time for mortal sacrifices from Sisyphus’ wife. There aren’t any! Finally, Sisyphus approached the throne of Hades and said to the lord of the kingdom of the dead:

  • – “Oh, lord of the souls of the dead, great Hade!” You are as equal to Zeus as possible. Let me go to the Holy Land, I will order my wife to offer you rich sacrifices, and then I will return to the realm of shadows.

So Sisyphus deceived the lord of Hades and he let him go to Earth. He, of course, did not return to Hades’ kingdom, but remained in his lavish castle and began to feast merrily, rejoicing that he was the only one of all mortals who managed to return from the dark realm of the dead.

When they saw that Sisyphus would not return, Hades became angry and sent Thanat again for Sisyphus’ soul.

Thanat appears in the castle of the most cunning of all mortals and finds him feasting. The god of death, hated by gods and men, tears out Sisyphus ‘soul – now Sisyphus’ soul has flown away forever into the realm of shadows.

In the afterlife, Sisyphus endures severe punishment for all the cunning and all the deceptions he committed on Earth. He is doomed to roll a huge rock along a high steep mountain. Straining, he does this job forever. As he approaches the top, it seems to him that he needs a little more effort to finish his work, but then the stone slips out of his hands and rolls down with a noise, raising a cloud of dust. Sisyphus accepted the job again.

So he rolls the stone forever and can never reach the goal – to the top of the mountain.

This myth has been used for centuries as an indicator that hard work does not give the desired results (it is a symbol of futile work) and that the struggle of those who are in favor of maintaining a system in which work is hard, not smart, continues!

Five reasons why hard work does not bring results

According to the previous one, I will list five reasons why hard work does not give the desired results:

1. With hard work, productivity declines

Hard work, which is an end in itself, leads nowhere. Man, as a social being, needs to, in addition to work, practice other activities and be realized in other fields: to be a spouse, parent, friend… If all this is disabled due to work, a person becomes mentally and physically exhausted, and this leads to dissatisfaction, which will be manifested by aggressive and other bad behavior!

2. When the exact goal you want to achieve with the work is not determined

If we do not know what our ultimate goal is, what we want to achieve, we will not succeed! A person who has a goal and knows what he wants, it is easier for him to achieve what he wants, unlike a person who works, but does not know why? For such people, success is lacking!

3. If we do not plan our path and the steps necessary to achieve what we want

When we know what our goal is, the next step is to make a clear plan and discipline ourselves, in order to achieve success? With a good plan, we lay the foundation for the realization of what is our goal and save time – many think that planning and scheduling is a waste of time, but that saves us time and allows us to use it well!

4. If, while working, we occasionally do not analyze our progress, if we do not follow what is happening

An analysis of what we are doing is necessary to determine if we are on the right track? Are we doing what is necessary to achieve the goal? Do we have an effect?

Here it is important to mention Albert Einstein’s definition of madness: “Madness is if we do things the same way and expect different results”!

5. If we are not looking for ways to improve and advance our business

It means innovation and harmonization with the circumstances in which we find ourselves! If we do not follow the developments in the fields we deal with and do not apply better ways of working, we will not achieve the results we secretly hope for and wish for!

Where to start?

Every successful person will always tell you that you need to start from yourself for everything. Discover your strengths and talents, be honest with yourself and write on paper what you enjoy working on and what you would most like to escape from. I’m not saying you need to let go of everything that doesn’t make you happy, but you can try every day, step by step, find ways to “work smarter”, how to delegate work, optimize your time and get what we want – to do what we love.

To get into this situation – to run my own blog and advertise products, I did jobs I didn’t like! But, every day I was motivated by the fact that I knew that this was just a passing stage that would provide me with the necessary funds (money) to get to the job I love and everything it brings – I plan my time, I don’t have a boss over my head, my work and commitment, my success will depend!

Work smarter by gradually:

• do fewer operational and more creative tasks

• Invest more time in understanding the process and finding faster and more efficient ways to work

• Always know what you want and set clear boundaries for others

• manage your time and make priority tasks

• find and set aside time for rest and enjoyment

• focus on providing value, not quantity

• choose the right opportunities carefully and do not say “yes” at first

• Surround yourself with positive and inspiring people

• Boldly come up with your ideas

• put yourself, your health and well-being first.

You will not succeed in working smartly overnight, but grouping everyday small steps in the right direction will lead you to the goal. At the same time, to greater satisfaction, a better position, the raise you dreamed of or starting your own business, if that is your goal !?

Just go ahead and replace your beliefs about hard work. He makes you victims, and you are heroes! Start working smart!

Finally, the main purpose of this text is to achieve the following:

“When a man, anyone, reaches the moment that he has started doing a job he loves and loves the job he does, that man no longer works – it is no longer considered work, but enjoyment”!

Never defeat just a lesson!

What is the comfort zone?

“In twenty years, you will be more disappointed with the things you didn’t do than with the things you did. So, sail out of the safe harbor. Explore. Dream. Find out. ” – Mark Twain

What is the comfort zone?

The comfort zone is our protected space, which is also called the safety zone. As the name itself suggests, this is the zone where we feel safe, comfortable, where we are on our own. It is made up of our familiar physical space in which we move, as well as our habits and rituals.

Each of us has his own comfort zone and there is nothing wrong with that, on the contrary. One of the most basic and strongest human needs is the need for security. That is why each of us strives to build and preserve our comfort zone, because it provides us with a feeling of peace, tranquility and comfort. We are protected here, because there is no danger in it, no unknown, no risk. Everything is known and it gives us a sense of security.

It’s best to strike a balance by exposing yourself to new experiences and then returning to your comfort zone and relaxing! This will give you the opportunity to think about your experiences, learn from them and apply them. You don’t want to run from one new experience to another, because then you will get bored and become a routine.

Over time, you will bring more and more inspiration, experience, creativity and productivity into your comfort zone. So the growth zone will then become your comfort zone.

It is for this reason that most people are not ready to leave their comfort zone. Because when we leave this zone, we enter another zone – the development zone or, as we still call it, the risk zone.

What is a development zone?

The development zone consists of everything that is new to us, unknown, different. These are all those places we have never been, jobs we have never done, people we don’t know, food we have never tasted… We have to learn, get to know and experience all these novelties and unknowns when we enter this zone.

But, the development zone has another name, and that is – the risk zone. When we find ourselves in this zone, that is, when we step into some new and unknown situations for us, we always risk something. Thus, there is a possibility that we will be disappointed, hurt, rejected, that we will not cope or make a mistake in this new situation. For all these reasons, we have a feeling of discomfort, discomfort and fear. In fact, this zone awakens in people one of the strongest fears, the fear of the unknown. That is why most people do not want to enter it at all, and even those who dare to do so, need to leave it as soon as possible and return to their well-known zone, the comfort zone.

Why is it good to leave the comfort zone and enter the development zone?

The comfort zone gives us a sense of security, but at the same time it stops our progress. Unlike it, the development zone, although it seems unsafe to us in the beginning, moves us, forces us to constantly improve, we progress in it and move our borders.

No matter how much new and unfamiliar situations make us uncomfortable or even cause fear in us, it is necessary to allow ourselves to get to know and experience them. Only in that way will we enable our personal growth and development, learn new things, develop talents, acquire new skills. That is why this zone is also called the learning zone, because it is in it that we spread knowledge, vistas and experiences, but in a stimulating and positive way. Because when we talk about entering the development / risk zone, we do not mean those people, relationships and events that can be dangerous and harmful to us, our lives, health and safety.

People who are ready to enter the development zone more often, are more confident, have more self-confidence, are more successful, have better social and communication skills, more friends, are more satisfied with their lives… But the biggest advantage of the development zone is that it gives us a chance to make our dreams come true and become what we really are.

Either way, only people in the comfort zone live a certain way. It would be said that they live according to a preconceived scenario which often, as Erich Bern said, is an unconscious way in which we have decided to live, although that is not the best possible way in which we could live.

We live according to a certain routine, we do things “because it is necessary”, because we feel the pressure of the environment or other people to live in a certain way, we do not dare to follow our authentic desires – although when we live this way long enough, then more we don’t even know what those wishes were ?!

The feelings we often experience when we live this way are: boredom, dissatisfaction, a feeling of emptiness, unfulfillment, numbness, etc.

As all feelings have a function, so unpleasant feelings have a function to motivate us, to get out of a situation that does not satisfy us and to do something about it. Unpleasant feelings are not something that just bothers us, neither guilty nor guilty. “They have the function of conveying the message that we should change something.

If we are really zealous in ignoring feelings, whether we deny them or suppress them and decide not to do anything, in time we will become resigned, grumpy, angry … And they will remember us for sentences like: “such is my destiny”, “what to work “, shut up and suffer “and other defeatist (discouraged) clichés that reflect our fear of getting out of the comfort zone. Because happiness lives somewhere else … As if out of spite!

To get out of the comfort zone, where we feel comfortable but dissatisfied, we have to take risks. We know that ourselves, so since we don’t take any risks, we invent various reasons why it is right to stay there and do nothing. However, happiness accompanies the brave! That was not said for no reason. So, if we dare, we can expect something good. Otherwise, no.

So, when we have a lot of unpleasant feelings that warn us that it is time for action, it is up to us to assess what we want to achieve, how we want to achieve it and to take responsibility for ourselves.

And of course, let’s take a risk!

Situations that allow us to face risk are usually the result of unpleasant feelings that tell us not to live as we really want and the shocks and crises of life, when we are faced with the inevitability of change. By the way, in Chinese, crisis is written in a letter that means both chance and danger, which is a good definition of the crisis itself! Every crisis is a chance for the growth and development of the personality, which does not mean that we cannot go backwards if we choose to do so in crisis life situations.

All because of our fears and unwillingness to take risks. J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter bestseller, said:

“I am a free woman today, because my biggest fear has come true. I have a daughter I adore, an old typewriter and an idea. That’s the foundation I built my life on. “

Life changes such as: job loss, relocation, childbirth…, are new crisis situations that often force us to step out of the safety zone and take risks, trying new behaviors, thought patterns or simply facing our flaws and virtues, resources and limitations .

Also, sometimes there is a breakdown of our established psychological defenses when we are no longer able to cope with the challenges of life in the same way as before. Very often, then we begin to produce psychological or psychosomatic symptoms in response to a life situation.

“It’s not that we don’t dare because things are hard; it’s that things are hard because we don’t dare.” Seneca

How can motivation help us?

To remind ourselves, the force that encourages our behavior in order to fulfill desires and needs is called motivation. It is a powerful and very complex force that encourages us to act, builds the will and influences decision-making. Thus, the motivation is historically and linguistically marked by the Latin verb mover, which means to move, to move, to remove when. In a broader sense, to turn mentally: to think, to consider, to judge, to drive, to motivate to work, to act on the body or spirit, on the heart, on the will, to move forward, to transform, and so on. George Miller described motivation as:

“What pushes and pulls us in the biological, social, psychological sense to overcome our laziness and take action willingly or reluctantly.”

It follows that motivation has evolved so that its action can help us reduce physical pain to a minimum, and increase pleasure to a peak, which can contribute to the support mechanism – our own or someone else’s experience!

In my opinion, this is the key knowledge on which we can make a good foundation, which will move us to expose ourselves to new situations, regardless of the outcome !?

When we take risks and start thinking and acting outside the established framework and dare to step, we can meet a person we may have forgotten about, and who is waiting for us and has a lot to offer us – ourselves!

Steps that lead to getting out of the comfort zone and the desired change

The first step in the process of change is certainly awareness. It is important to be aware of which areas of our lives we are not satisfied with and why. What is it that we would like to change? What should our life in that area look like after the change? So, first it is important to see what is our unwanted condition and what is it that we would like?

Second, it is important to determine if change is possible? Some of our wishes can come true, some cannot. Fortunately, we can really influence many things in life, especially if we take responsibility for ourselves – which is the third step.

Taking responsibility for ourselves and our behavior means that we accept the consequences of our behaviors, feelings, actions in an adult way … We do not blame others, we do not sabotage ourselves, we are able to accept our mistakes and good moves.

The fourth important step is making a decision that we will change something and determining the strategy in which we will report it. Making a firm decision is expressed by the attitude: I will succeed! instead, I will try! – which leaves room for rationalizations of the type: “well, I can’t do that; I didn’t even care about it; it didn’t matter, etc.”. Success already indicates that we have a vision and that we are firmly determined to achieve it.

The fifth step is to take action and deal with fears and possible losses in risk. We gradually enter new situations, analyze how we felt, what we were afraid of, whether those fears are real, what we gain and what we lose.

Of course, when we take risks by entering something new in order to realize our desires, we must be ready to endure some unpleasant feelings along the way, such as insecurity, fear, frustration … Tolerating unpleasant feelings during the change process is very important, because it helps us in the long run to harden, to increase our frustrating tolerance, to see that we can do something. It is also important to understand that the path to success consists of mistakes and attempts.

It is not easy to decide on something new and we cannot always expect that it will be easy and that we will succeed at first. That is why it is important to encourage and praise yourself on that path, as well as not to condemn yourself for mistakes, but to learn from them and progress further. If we need help and support along the way, it is perfectly fine to provide it for ourselves, whether it is the help of dear people or professional help.

When we succeed in something, when we take risks and that risk pays off, then we feel satisfied and happy. Happiness is otherwise an emotion we have when we realize our important desires. Especially if they are outside our security zone and achieving them allows us emotional and spiritual growth and development.

And what about those situations when we took risks and failed? We have said that success cannot be achieved overnight. It takes effort and work. If we try again and fail, that is still not a reason to despair. We may need to rethink our strategies to see if they are good or the goals themselves are well set and achievable.

“Never defeat only lesson”!

The story of Glenn Cunningham

The story of Glenn Cunningham, is one of the most inspiring I will write about in the following!

Earlier years

He was born in 1909. In Atlanta, Kansas. At that time, children had homework almost from the moment they walked stably. When they started school, Glen and his older brother Floyd had the task of getting to school early and lighting a fire, to warm the room before the others arrived. When Glen was 8 and Floyd was 13, an accident happened because someone poured gasoline into the canister instead of kerosene. The children put wood in the stove as every morning, poured gasoline on it, thinking it was kerosene, and when they lit the stove, it exploded and a fire broke out. Their older sister was nearby and pulled them out of school, badly injured. Floyd succumbed to his injuries after a few days. The doctors thought that Glen would not survive either, and when he survived, they told their mother that it was better that he died and that they had to amputate both of his legs. He lost almost all the flesh on his knees and lower legs, all the toes on his left foot, and one tendon was damaged. The mother said, it is enough that he lost his brother, I will not allow him to lose his legs either.

When he came out of the hospital, he was immobile from the waist down, everyone claimed that he would remain immobile for the rest of his life. His mother and father massaged his legs and pulled the leg that became about 6 cm shorter. At the beginning, he did not feel his legs at all, and later the treatments were more than painful.

The beginning of change

One day, his mother pushed him into the yard in a wheelchair, as she used to do. Suddenly, she saw him crawling on the ground towards the fence, not realizing what had happened. She tried to bring him back but he refused and dragged himself to the white fence. He got up and tried to walk. He moved along the fence, dragging his feet on the ground, which in time paved the path near the fence. After 22 months of persistent daily struggle, he managed to walk, but with great pain.

At one point, he noticed that he had pain when walking, and no pain when running. He became famous in his place for always running. He did not cross even two meters of distance without running. At the age of 12, he was already faster than anyone in the area and started competing.

He became one of the most famous American athletes, and according to some, the best American long distance runner of all time. He graduated from college in 1933 as the best student in the class.

These are his athletic achievements:

• He participated in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and took 4th place in the 1500-meter race;

• At the Olympic Games, 1936 in Berlin, he won a silver medal in the same race;

• In 1933, he received an honorary decoration for various achievements in middle distance running;

• In 1934, he broke the world record in the 1500m outdoor race;

• In 1936 he set a world record in the 800m race;

• In 1938 he set a world record in the 1500m indoor race;

He was nicknamed “Ironman from Kansas”! He died in his 80s, in 1989. He was an example of determination, faith in God, courage and should be an inspiration for all of us! His favorite Bible verse that motivated him to accomplish all of this was:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall be strong, and shall mount up on their wings like eagles; they shall run, and not stop; they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

Maintain motivation – how?

They say motivation doesn’t last long. Well, bathing doesn’t last, that’s why we recommend it every day. – Zig Ziglar

The answer to this question: How to maintain motivation?, lies in the very meaning of the word “motivation” – motive and action! It follows that the meaning of saying motivation is the “reason” for a certain action – to know exactly what we want !? Does that mean we have to have a good reason to persevere in what we want to accomplish? The reason is a different concept from impulsive desire, which appears quickly and disappears even faster.

What drives us, when it comes to motivation, is the desire to achieve a certain good or to avoid pain?

People who bravely face obstacles on the way to achieving the desired goals, push their limits and achieve what they strive for. They are motivated and successful individuals who are committed to what they want and persevere despite obstacles. These are people who feel good in their own skin – they are connected to themselves!

But many people still do not have this kind of attitude and self-confidence, although they clearly know what they want to achieve, but in the face of the challenges that befall them, they give up and withdraw to avoid pain – they are only interested, but not committed!

In order to overcome this situation, it is necessary to change the “mindset”!

What is a mindset?

Mindset represents the way you think. That is all you see, do, pay attention to and observe from your angle.

Mindset is a word of English origin that had its first use around 1930, and then its meaning was to represent “the habits of our mind that are formed on the basis of previous experience.”

The good thing about mindset is that it can change! We have adopted some ways of thinking from our parents and the surrounding people, but they do not always have to remain “ours”. People change all their lives, and so does their way of thinking and looking at the things that surround them.

The basic problem is that we think we are not good enough for what we want to achieve!

Changing our perspective on how we see something or how we react to it is called “rephrasing” – progress that changes our old way of thinking with the new. It not only changes the way we see something, what we think about it, but also how we react in given situations. Personal traits, attitudes and abilities can be developed and changed throughout life with effort, work, dedication and learning.

The way we think determines the way we live. The choice is yours. But why is he so important?

It helps you unleash your potential, work on yourself and feel and live the way you want.

It follows from this that the basic goal is to know ourselves, because a person who knows himself and who wants to understand himself, is a person who will want to understand others! In the process, we affirm our virtues and strive to elevate them to an even higher level, while at the same time revealing our flaws and ways to eliminate them?

In order for someone to be able to change, he must fulfill two painful conditions: the first, to look the truth in the eye, and the second, to start the process of change, taking appropriate actions!

During this process, people are under the influence of emotions, because they have to get out of the comfort zone and expose themselves to situations that make them feel fear and pain! But these are necessary sacrifices in order to achieve the goals and achieve inner peace.

What is important to know is that it is okay if you feel pain and fear. And when that happens, we should leave it to them, until our brain is able to process emotions. What is this condition? A state of calm, without the effect of emotions, when a person realistically perceives a certain situation and based on that, makes decisions that he will implement. During this phase, anger, rage and sadness appear, as our reaction to the unknown. It is okay to feel these emotions as well, but we must be careful not to express them in a destructive way, by suppressing them or hurting others!

“Pain is inevitable, but sadness is our choice”!

When these or similar situations happen to me, I remember the closest definition of a man, which is my guiding idea:

What is a man?

“Cold head, warm heart and working hands”!

For most people, unfortunately, everything is the other way around: “Hot head, cold heart, and hands not working”!

After all that said, we come to the three basic phases for maintaining motivation! That are:

1. Achieving and maintaining balance

2. Work on your self-confidence and

3. Possess a clear strategy

Achieving and maintaining balance

When maintaining balance, think of the balance between mind, spirit, body and emotions!

Each of these items is important and when harmony is achieved, none of them should prevail over the others! Through the mind, working on ourselves, we come to new information and process it. The spiritual part is the instinct we feel, and it is manifested through intuition, which leads us to act properly in a certain situation. In order to persevere in this process, it is necessary that we are in physical condition in order for our body to withstand all the efforts and challenges we face. The emotional part refers to the way we react to what is happening to us. By the way we react, there are controlled and uncontrolled emotions. In the beginning, uncontrolled emotions can be dominant due to new situations. But, due to our efforts, they will slowly turn into controlled ones, because we will increase our self-control!

Work on your self-confidence and

With increasing self-control, there is also an increase in self-confidence, by accepting ourselves, constantly exposing ourselves to painful situations (don’t blame me for repeating this all the time, because without this, you can’t do anything) that are important for our progress and, most importantly, allow yourself the right to make a mistake!

The only way not to make a mistake is to do nothing!

Possess a clear strategy

And the third phase is to have a clear strategy, that is, a schedule – how much will we dedicate to what we want to achieve?

Many people think that the one who has a schedule is his slave, and the opposite is true – with him, we have freedom and save time!

It is a common opinion among many people that in order to maintain motivation, it is necessary to achieve certain results that will keep us on our planned path. That is desirable, but it is not always so, because motivation refers to something that is inside that person (reason), and external circumstances, no matter how negative, cannot disturb the one who knows what he is doing and why he is doing it? The best example of that is Jack Ma the owner of “”Alibaba””, who has been operating without any profit for the first three years since the company was founded!

These are the key items to keep us motivated and achieve what we set out to do! If we apply them, a situation will happen that I define as something that is “doomed to success”!

“Every change is painful at the beginning, uncertain in the middle, and magnificent at the end”!

And don’t forget: “Never defeat, just a lesson”!

Jack Ma – a life story

He failed the entrance exam for college twice and could not find a job for a long time. He tried to enroll at Harvard ten times and was rejected all ten times. Then he founded the internet company “Alibaba” with which he became one of the most successful and most powerful people in the world.

Jack Ma, a life story, his real name is Ma Jun, grew up in poverty, and today he owns a business worth 460 billion dollars. His personal fortune is estimated at 40 billion dollars.

How did it all start?

He was born on October 10, 1964, in the city of Hangzhou, in the eastern part of China, at a time when communist China was isolated from the Western world. Given the unfavorable conditions in the country, he grew up in poverty.

As a boy, Ma was small, but that didn’t stop him from fighting with his schoolmates. “I was never afraid to stand on the line of those older and stronger than myself,” Ma explained in his biographical book. That fearlessness determined his path to success in the business world.

He repeated the class four times in elementary and high school!

After being rejected at Harvard, he tried to get a job in the police. Of the five who applied, only Jack was rejected, telling him that he was “not good”! He applied, along with twenty-four other candidates, for a job at KFC, but again, only he was not accepted!

But what he had, and many others did not, was an entrepreneurial spirit, helpfulness and a desire to learn! Namely, after US President Richard Nixon visited Hangzhou in 1972., that city became a tourist Mecca, which was visited by tourists from all over the world. As a teenager, Ma figured out how to take advantage of the favorable position he found himself in. He got up early every day and went to the main city hotel, which was a favorite place to accommodate foreign tourists and offered visitors a tour of the city, in exchange for English lessons. One of the tourists, with whom he became friends, gave him the nickname “Jack”.

Without money and acquaintances with influential people, the only thing left for him to do, in order to succeed, was to dedicate himself to education. However, after finishing high school, he tried to enroll in studies twice, both times without success. Finally, for the third time, he managed to enroll in the Hangzhou Teachers’ Training Institute, where he graduated in 1988, and immediately after graduating, he started looking for a job. After being rejected several times, as I mentioned, he finally got a job as an English professor at a local university, where he earned only $12 a month!

Arrival in the USA

The moment that determined his future was his stay in the USA, in 1995, where Ma discovered the internet that enchanted him! The first word he typed into the internet search was the word ‘beer’ and he was surprised to see that no Chinese beer appeared in the search results. Then he decided to establish an internet company, specially intended for China and Chinese products.

Although the first two attempts to found the company were unsuccessful, Ma was adamant in his intention to start his own internet company. He gathered a group of friends (seventeen of them) and convinced them to invest their money in realizing his idea – creating an online store, which he called “Alibaba”. The idea was that this new site would allow exporters to publish product lists, which customers could then order directly, online. The very name “Alibaba” refers to the story of “Alibaba” and 40 bandits, in which a special password opens the door to a cave in which there are immeasurable wealth and thus refers to the symbolism in which his web store opened the door to endless opportunities in the global market.

This service soon began to attract users from all over the world. By October 1999, the company had raised five million dollars from Goldman Sachs and twenty million from Softbank. Despite the rapid and growing success, the company “Alibaba” has maintained the image of a youth startup, which was driven by ideas, enthusiasm and desire for change.

As the “dot com” expansion marked the end of 2000, the company faced serious challenges in the international market. Ma has successfully reorganized the company’s operations, which includes the loss of many of the company’s international branches, and has focused on strengthening “Alibaba”s position in the Chinese market.

“We will succeed, because we are young and never, BUT we NEVER give up”, are the words that Jack Ma said to his employees at every meeting (this is confirmed by the fact that in the first three years of business, “”Alibaba”” had no profit)!

Innovation and a huge desire to stand out were the main drivers of the team, which stood behind this internet giant. Soon the results came; In 2005, Yahoo invested $1 billion in the company in exchange for a 40 percent stake, which was a huge deal for the Chinese company, which sought to oust US eBay from the top spot in online stores in China.

“If you want to succeed, you have to learn from a competitor, but not copy it. Copying is death at work “- is one of the famous thoughts of Jack Ma.

“Our philosophy is to build an ecosystem and encourage others to produce, change, sell and thrive. With our technology, innovation and partners, our customers (10 million re sellers on the site) can even compete with Microsoft and IBM. ”

In addition to becoming one of the most successful companies in the world, “Alibaba” aims to rank among the largest powers in the world economy by 2036. Namely, the Chinese company is already economically stronger than countries such as Sweden, Poland, Iran, Norway and Austria.

“If a company can serve two billion consumers, that’s one-third of the world’s total population. If it can create 100 million jobs, that’s probably more than most governments can achieve. And if it can support its businesses with 10 million… it’s called the economy, “said Jack Ma.

The goal set by Jack Ma for his company can be achieved, especially if we take into account that “Alibaba” plans to earn a billion dollars by 2020, which would make it the 16th economy in the world, bigger than Turkey or Saudi Arabia. At that pace, in 2036, “Alibaba” would be the world’s fifth largest economy, just behind the United States, China, the EU and Japan.

I will end this instructive story with the motto of Jack Ma himself, who leads him through life:

“It is cruel today. More cruel tomorrow. It will be nice the day after tomorrow! ”

I hope you enjoyed the biography of the Richest Chinese and one of the richest people in the world!

“Never defeat, only lessons”!

Steve Jobs – one of the best motivational speeches

This is a transcript of a welcome speech by Steve Jobs, one of the best motivational speeches, CEO of Apple and Pixar Animation, given to Stanford College graduates. The speech consists of three stories in which Steve describes how he dropped out of college, how he founded Apple, how he was fired from the company he founded and how he eventually returned to Apple as CEO. It talks about ups, downs, life and death.

STEVE JOBS (1955. – 2011.)

“I am honored to be with you today, at your graduation at one of the largest faculties in the world. Truth be told, I never graduated from college, this is the closest I’ve ever been to it. Today, I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it, nothing very important. Just three stories.

The first story is about stacking dice.

I dropped out of Reed College after the first six months, but I stopped by There occasionally over the next eighteen months, before I actually dropped out.

So why did I give up? It started before I was really born. My biological mother was a young, unmarried college student and she decided to give me up for adoption. She had a strong conviction that I should be adopted by those who graduated so that everything was set up for me so that I was adopted by a lawyer and his wife at birth. However, when I was born, they decided at the last minute that they actually wanted a girl. So, my parents, who were on the waiting list, had a call in the middle of the night: “Unexpectedly, we have a male baby, do you want her?”.

They said, “Of course.”

My biological mother later learned that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never finished high school. She refused to sign the final document for adoption. She relented a few months later when my parents promised that one day I would go to college. This was the beginning of my life. Seventeen years later, I went to college. However, I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents ’savings were spent on tuition for my college. After six months, I couldn’t find any value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. And I had no idea how college would help me figure that out. And so I spent all the money of my parents, who saved it all their lives. I decided to give up and believe that everything would be fine. It was pretty scary back then, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The minute I dropped out of college, I could stop going to compulsory classes that didn’t interest me and start going to those that seemed interesting to me. It wasn’t all romantic. I didn’t have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in my friends ’rooms. I collected Coca-Cola bottles for a 5 cent deposit to buy food and walk 11km around town on Sunday nights to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna Temple. I loved it. And much of what I came across following my curiosity and intuition turned into something priceless later.

Let me give you one example: Reed College at the time offered perhaps the best calligraphy classes in the country. On campus, each poster and sticker on each drawer was beautifully handwritten. Since I dropped out of college and didn’t have to attend normal classes, I decided to take calligraphy classes to learn it. I learned about serif and beserif font types, about the variations in the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes excellent typography excellent. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science cannot register, and I realized that it was fascinating.

However, none of this offered hope for any practical application in my life. But ten years later, when we designed the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. We built it all into a Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never taken that course in college, a Mac would never have had numerous font types or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows simply copied the Mac, it’s likely that no PC today would have that.

If I had never dropped out of college I would never have gone to calligraphy classes and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography they have. Of course, when I was in college, it was impossible to put these cubes together looking ahead. But looking back 10 years later, that is very, very clear. Again, you can’t stack dice by looking ahead, you can only stack them by looking back.

So, you have to believe that the dots will connect in your future. You have to believe in something, your loop, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dice will come together gives you the confidence to follow your heart even when you feel like you have strayed from the beaten path and that will create a decisive advantage in life.

My second story is about love and loss.

I was lucky – I found what I loved to do early in life. Voz and I founded Apple in my parents ’garage when I was 20 years old. We worked hard and in 10 years, Apple has grown from just the two of us into a $ 2 billion company with over 4,000 employees! Our best creation – we made a Macintosh a year earlier and I just turned 30.

And then I got fired! How can you get fired from a company you founded? Well, as Apple grew, we hired someone when I thought he was very talented, to run the company with me, and in the first years, things went well. But then our visions of the future began to separate and we eventually parted ways. When that happened, our top executives sided with him. So, in my 30s, I was kicked out. And that very publicly thrown out. What was the focus of my whole life disappeared and it was devastating. For several months I really didn’t know what to do. I felt like I had let down the previous generation of entrepreneurs – as if I had dropped the baton that had been handed to me.

I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing things up. It was a very public failure and I was even thinking of escaping from the valley. But, slowly, something started to occur to me: I still loved what I was doing! Developments at Apple have not changed that in the slightest. I was rejected, but I still introduced was in love. So I decided to start over!

I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that the dismissal from Apple was the best thing that could ever happen to me! The difficulty of being successful has been replaced by the ease and freshness of a new beginning, less certain about everything. It set me free to enter one of the most creative periods of my life. Over the next five years, I started a company called NeXT, another company called Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar has created the world’s first animated film – Toy Story and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In an amazing turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I went back to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is the heart of Apple’s current renaissance. Lorin and I have a wonderful family together.

I’m pretty sure – none of this would have happened if I hadn’t been fired from Apple. It was a medicine with a terrible taste, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith. I am convinced that the only thing that forced me to continue was that I did what I loved. You have to find what you love.

This is as true for business as it is for your partners. Your work will take up a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you think is a great job. And the only way to do a great job is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t calm down. As is the case with all things of the heart, you will know when you find it. As with all great relationships, it gets better and better with age.

So keep searching until you find it. Don’t calm down!

My third story is about death.

When I was 17, I read a quote that was something like this: “If you live each day as if it were your last, one day you will surely be right.” It made an impression on me and since then, for the last 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself, “If today is my last day in life, do I want to do what I should be doing today?” And whenever the answer is “NO”, for many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

The reminder that I will soon be dead is the most important tool I have ever come across to help me make great choices in life. Because almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of shame or failure – these things simply disappear in the face of death, leaving only what is really important. Reminding that you are going to die is the best way, as far as I know, to avoid the traps of thinking that you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

About a year ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7.30 in the morning and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn’t even know what the pancreas was. Doctors told me that this is almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is a medical code to prepare you to die. That meant trying to tell our kids everything we wanted in the next ten years in just a few months. That means making sure everything is arranged so that it is as easy as possible for your family. That means saying your “goodbye.” I lived with that diagnosis all day. Late that evening, I had a biopsy, in which they put an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and intestines, put a needle in my pancreas and took a few cells from the tumor. I was under sedation, but my wife, who was There, told me that when they saw the cancer cells under a microscope, the doctors started crying, because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that could be cured by surgery. I had surgery and now I’m fine.

This was my closest confrontation with death and I hope it is the closest for the next few decades. Having survived that, I can now speak to you with a little more confidence than was the case when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept. Nobody wants to die. Teas and people who want to go to heaven do not want to die to go There. And yet, death is a destination we all share. No one ever escaped. And so it should be because death is very likely the best invention of life. It is an agent of life change. She erases the old to make way for the new. Right now, it is you who is new, but one day not so far from now, you will gradually become old and you will be cleansed. I’m sorry I’m so dramatic, but that’s quite true.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which means living with other people’s thinking results. Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They already somehow know what you really want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When I was young, There was one amazing publication called “Catalog of the Whole Earth,” which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was made by Stuart Brand, not far from here, in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic feeling. That was in the late 60s, before There were personal computers and electronic publishing, so everything was done using typewriters, scissors and Polaroid cameras. It was a kind of Google in paper form, 35 years before Google appeared, it was idealistic and full of neat tools and important concepts. Stewart and his team published several editions of the “Catalog of the Whole Earth” and then decided to publish the latest edition. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back of the book of their latest edition was a photo of an early morning trip, the kind of road you could hitchhike on if you’re adventurous. Below it were the words: “Stay eager (knowledge). Stay frivolous. ” That was their farewell message.

Stay eager (knowledge). Stay frivolous. And I’ve always wanted it for myself, and now that you’re graduating and new again, I want it for you.

Stay eager (knowledge).

Stay frivolous.

Thank you all very much”.
