Wisdom in one place

Wisdom in one place

Tagore’s creative opus consists of over 1000 poems, 2000 poems, 8 novels, 24 plays, and a large number of essays. He is also the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 for his collection of poems “Gitanjali”.

Rabindranath Tagore was an Indian writer, playwright, and philosopher.

He was raised in a rich and educated Bengali family and was educated in England. Accepting the emancipator conceptions of the West, including political ones, he rejects materialism and pragmatism, holding that a just and free society can be built on the foundations of universal morality and cultural identity in diversity.

Wisdom is one place – below, I will list the wisdom of Rabindranath Tagore:

The clear river of reason does not lose its path in the dry sand of habit.

We must not judge and appreciate civilization on the basis of how much power it has achieved but on the basis of how much it has expressed love for man in its laws and deeds.

Man-made his God out of weapons. And when the weapon wins, the man will be defeated.

We can only come to the truth if we are given the freedom to sin.

When he becomes an animal, man is worse than an animal.

The water in the vessel is clear; the water from the depths of the sea is dark. Little truth has words that are clear; the great truth has its silence.

The little bud dissolves the petals, saying: O dear saint, do not wither!

Men only know how to think. Women have their own way of understanding without thinking.

Imperfection is not a negation of perfection; finitude does not deny infinity. It is only expressed as a whole in parts, it is infinitely revealed in boundaries.

No nation can be saved by separating itself from others. Either we save ourselves together, or we perish together.

Nothing is easier than destroying the inner freedom of man in the name of external freedom.

Those who learn, but do not apply their knowledge, are like a peasant who plows, not sows.

What we need to be free is love; she has the strength to carry the burden of the world with joy.

Only what we do out of love we do freely, no matter how much suffering comes from it.

All the opposites of life disappear in love.

The great power of God is in the gentleness of the wind, not in the storms.

Big hearts love, small ones want to be loved.

Because of lost love, life is richer.

If you close the door to all mistakes, you will close the truth.
